Thank you for visiting my site!

I am a researcher, educator, and health specialist in physical activity, diet, and nutritional supplementation. My ultimate goal is to improve people’s health and prevent diseases of aging naturally through exercise, a healthy diet, and supplements.  
Exercise Dependence: For some people exercise may become an addictive and excessive behavior. My research examines why this happens, how to measure exercise dependence, who may be at risk, and how to treat this compulsion to move.

Exercise Psychology:

What are the psychological effects of physical activity? My research has focused on the effects of physical activity on body composition, body image, mood, adherence, eating behaviors, and quality of life.

Healthy aging:

Aging is inevitable – we cannot avoid it. So how can we age in a healthy way. I explore the science behind the effects of health behaviors such as exercise, sleep, diet, and supplementation on healthy aging.


Natural supplements:
Not all supplements are created equal. I critically examine the clinical science behind natural supplements such as resveratrol, green coffee bean extract, cocoa, saffron, collagen, and safflower oil.

Exercise during Pregnancy/Postpartum:
Pregnant and postpartum women should keep moving during this critical life stage – not only for their health but for the health of their children. Learn what the unique barriers and exercise guidelines are during this special time.
